In October 1975, the Henderson State University Archives was established by President Martin B. Garrison to preserve the history of the institution since its founding in 1890. The location of the Archives was moved to Huie Library in 2001 and Librarian Linda Evans is the current University Archivist. As Archivist, Mrs. Evans collects and maintains University papers and correspondence, including official printed material, record books, minutes, committee files, financial records, and associated papers or electronic data, generated or received by the University’s administrative and academic offices in the conduct of their business, are the property of the University and constitute archival material. All administrators and faculty, who possess files, records, or documents relating to their official duties, are asked to observe the following guidelines:
