The National Development Council has certified Brandon Horvath, director of Henderson State University’s Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, as an Economic Development Finance Professional with emphasis on Business Credit Analysis.

To earn the EDFP-BCA certification, Horvath completed a rigorous, three-course training series and passed examinations for each course. The training covered economic development finance practices, basic and advanced business credit, loan packaging procedures, deal structuring techniques and complex financial issues.

Henderson’s ASBTDC has offices in Arkadelphia and Hot Springs. As part of the ASBTDC statewide network, the center is affiliated with Henderson’s School of Business and serves a 10-county area.

In addition to managing the center, Horvath works one-on-one with small business clients, providing confidential, no-cost consulting and guidance to current and prospective business owners.

He assists clients with business planning, financial analysis, market research, loan proposal preparation, growth and expansion planning, management and profitability.

“NDC is a nationally recognized program, and this professional credential signifies Brandon’s ability to assist clients with a wide range of financial projects,” said Laura Fine, ASBTDC state director.
